On another stay in Bangkok we stayed near Khaosan Road, we stayed in Samsen 2 road about 5 mins walk from Khaosan Rd. We stayed in Nouvo City Hotel, there was a great little bar right outside accross from entrance which was good for some evening pints. Pool on the hotel roof was great, weather was sweltering, nice for few beers in afternoon or orange shakes.
