I have been to Chaiyaphum many times over last 15 years with my wife visiting her family usually i rent a car in Bangkok and drive up its about 3.5 to 4 hours drive. Here is me in a farm truck. (not my car rental!)

Sights to see in Chaiyaphum include Wat Ban Rai, Dan Khun Thot. There was a lot to see when i was there on a very hot day.
